Allan Chou (周立玮) is currently head of a new early stage tech and corporate innovation partnership fund called “RAIDiCAL” which focuses on finding and growing the next Unicorns in Robotics, AI, IoT and Big Data in China.
He was previously the Chief Marketing Officer at Rocket Space, Inc. (China), a well known Silicon Valley builder of Global Tech Ecosystems which helped to grow unicorns such as UBER, Spotify and 19 others.
Mr. Chou was a partner at Garage Cafe, the first coffee themed Nationally recognized privately operated TMT incubator and co-working space in China. This early stage startup space is the first to open on INNOWAY in Zhongguancun, Beijing (The Silicon Valley of China). He is a senior advisor to INNOWAY on Global Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
He’s lived in China for 21 years and is a pioneer in digital marketing and online consumer research having founded his own agencies in both discipline in Beijing. He previously worked at both SAATCHI & SAATCHI and Ogilvy Advertising in television programming syndication and brand management.
Mr. Chou has been investing in early stage companies in China for over ten years and moved to Shanghai four years ago to incubate tech startups in the International luxury goods sector. He’s a champion for youth entrepreneurship and innovation globally.
Before coming to China he worked in government in California in the State Senate and as Chief Assistant Secretary of State to the Honorable March Fong Eu; later worked on the 1992 Clinton/Gore Campaign as Deputy Finance Director, Inauguration and transition for the 42nd President of the United States of America.
Mr. Chou has a degree in political science and is currently a mentor in the Mayor’s International Business Programme for the City of London; also mentors at Shanghai Fudan University International School of Business. He is currently also an advisor to Born2Global, a major South Korean government agency under the Ministry of Science in helping to select over 100 startups with high potential for entering the global market.
